Michael Tuffelmire

Michael L. Tuffelmire – born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI. He entered active duty service in the U.S. Army Infantry from 2000-2004 including deployments to Kosovo with 1st Infantry Division and Operation Iraqi Freedom with 10th Mountain Division. In addition he served from 2004-2006 with the Michigan Army National Guard. He was the former director of Decriminalize GR which decriminalized cannabis in Grand Rapids in 2012. After that he served as a board member on MI Legalize from 2015-2018 as part of the coalition that passed Prop 1 (MRTMA). He recently served on the Veteran’s Subcommittee for Decriminalize Nature.
