Eli Savit serves as the elected Prosecuting Attorney for Washtenaw County. Eli’s 4-year term began on January 1st, 2021. After the city of Ann Arbor decriminilized plant medicines and mushrooms in 2020, Eli created an entheogenic policy for the entire Washtenaw County. Eli has dedicated this career to public service. He formerly served as a law clerk to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, was a civil-rights and public-interest attorney, and started his career as a public-school teacher. Eli continues to teach at the University of Michigan as a Lecturer.
